Keeping you on the go .....

What I Treat
From Top to Toe
Dependent upon the injury, the issue and its diagnosis, the range of techniques I will use could encompass soft tissue release, muscle energy technique, deep tissue massage, post-isometric relaxation, trigger point therapy and connective tissue massage, together with muscle stretching and strengthening. In essence, I work on soft tissue – muscles, tendons, and ligaments.
The good news is that the vast majority of sports and work-related injuries require a non-surgical treatment procedure and this fits directly within my line of work. Broadly speaking, I'm looking to protect the specific area, alleviate any swelling, reduce tension, increase blood flow and obviously, prevent any pain. In doing so, I'm aiming for long-term muscle rehabilitation, recovery and strengthening and, as I've said earlier, to get you back on form and moving with the level of fitness and flexibility you need.
I cover all injuries from top-to-toe and issues I've successfully treated include:
It's worth noting that you don't have to be injured or actually suffering from a problem for sports and remedial therapy to be of tremendous benefit.
I mentioned earlier that prevention is better than cure, so if you are embarking on that marathon personal best quest or completing your first ever 5km fun run then you do need to be factoring in a certain amount of treatment to prepare your muscles and body for the task ahead. I cannot stress enough the importance that the correct preparation can have on your performance before and after the event (i.e. promotion of blood circulation, enhanced lymphatic drainage, removal of lactic acid, alleviation of soreness and stiffness, strengthening and rejuvenation, etc.). For existing injuries sports massage therapy greatly enhances the speed of recovery.
